MY STORY

Growing up in Hoboken, I’m a true city girl at heart with a deep love of sunsets, water, and photography!

I have always had a way of “seeing” that allows me to connect with those around me. I can’t help but notice the genuine interaction of people. The in-between moments no one is thinking about are my favorite and some of the most important memories in your story. I could even argue they are the most important moments and will be the greatest gift left for your family!

After losing my father to Alzheimer’s my connection to moments intensified. I began to focus on the deeper meaning behind every photograph. Perhaps using them as a tool to help never forget him and all we shared. Along the way, I discovered things about myself through his eyes. What a blessing it is that he loved to take pictures and that I enjoy doing the same. I’m thankful for the everyday images that show me our connected story as well as my own story. Going through photos as an adult led me to discover numerous connection points to some of my favorite things, now noticing they were in the background the whole time. It wasn’t until recently that I put the puzzle pieces together pinpointing the origin of some of these “favorites”… swings, weeping willows and sunflowers to name a few.

I’m known to some as “Aunt Merry” which is one of my greatest achievements. I love hanging out with all my little ones (and not so little anymore) and capturing them. I want to show them the story of us, and more importantly I want to be able to show them their story. It warms my heart to think someday they will be able to find connection points in the background that will give them that “oh that’s why” feeling.

I truly believe photography is a gift unlike any other. A way to freeze time and connect the present and future. It would be an honor and privilege to capture the story of you and those you love.
